On March 25 th, 2007, the President of Tianjiao, James Zhan, conducted a three day educational visit to Lhasa. During the visit, he did some research about the education, culture, and traditions of Lhasa, and had a tour of the No.1 Middle School. James Zhan had a good conversation with the Vice President of the school. He learned that there were no English books in their library at all and responded immediately by organizing a book donation for the school and calling on Canadian educators to help. James says that the No.1 Middle School of Lhasa has trained thousands of well-qualified graduates and has an outstanding educational reputation. He hopes that his visit to Lhasa and discussions with the President will convince more Canadian educators to make contributions to the school.
