The 5th Sino-Canada International Education
Exchange Forum is successfully held in Beijing, China

On July 21, 2011, over 50 principals, school administrators, and educators from Vancouver and Beijing participated the 5th Sino-Canada International Education Exchange Forum.

Tom Grant, the superintendent of School District No.43 (Coquitlam), Melissa Hyndes, the Board Chair of SD 43, Patricia Gartland, the director of International Education of SD 43 and several trustees representing Coquitlam School Board participated in this great event.

The delegation from Coquitlam School District signed several cooperation agreements with Beijing school district, Yongan school district, Yancheng school district and associated schools, including Beijing Chaoyang Foreign Elementary School, Yongan Middle School, Yancheng Middle School.

In addition, 12 elementary schools and secondary schools’ principals from Canada and China also joined the forum and made very successful presentations.

The forum builds a bridge for educators between Canada and China. And it will attract more educators to join in the coming year.
