Depart from Vancouver International Airport for Beijing via scheduled international airline

Meet at the airport to board the international flight for Beijing.

Arrive in Beijing in the afternoon or late evening

Activities

On arrival, pick up by chartered bus and drive to hotel. Free time to settle into the hotel, and explore the grounds.

Day 3 Beijing (2N)

Learning Chinese Calligraphy & Make Chinese Dumplings

Activities

Free time in the morning followed by a visit to a local school or a cultural activity center. A calligraphy lesson or paper-cutting lesson will be given by Chinese teacher. Ma king Beijing dumplings in Beijing will be a very special experience to you.

Day 4 Beijing (3N)

Mar.18 Highlight (Tuesday)

Jade Factory, The Great Wall of China, Beijing Roast Duck

Activities

The group will visit a jade factory in the morning . After lunch, we will visit the Great Wall. Free time will be given to explore the wall.

Day 5 Beijing (4N)

Mar.19 Highlight (Wednesday)

Taiji Lesson, Pearl Factory, Summer Palace, Acrobatic Show(Optional)

Activities

Taiji Lesson in the garden to start the day, followed by visit to a pearl factory. After lunch, we will visit the Summer Palace . An acrobatic show will follow dinner (Optional).

Day 6 Beijing (5N)

Mar.20 Highlight (Thursday)

Hutong Tour, Ancient Style Chinese Tea Ceremony , Beijing Opera (Optional)

Activities

Hutongs are traditional narrow streets, and the tour will be provided by Chinese men on rickshaw bicycles. Lunch will be hosted by local families. A tea ceremony in the afternoon will be arranged. A famous Beijing Opera for the evening will be a good experience of Chinese opera art (Option al ).

Day 7 Beijing (6N)

Mar.21 Highlight (Friday)

Taiji Lesson, Olympic Construction Sites, Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City, Chinese Kungfu Show (Optional)

Activities

The day starts with Taiji Lesson , followed by a bus tour of the Olympic Construction Sites, and g uided visits to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City where the last three dynasties ruled. A theatre drama in the evening highlights the art of Kungfu (Optional).

A farewell dinner at authentic Chinese restaurant. Chinese wine for adults and a special gift for everyone.

Day 8 Beijing – Shanghai – Suzhou (Domestic flight) (1N)

Humble Administrator’s Garden

Activities

Leave for Shanghai by a domestic flight from Beijing International Airport. Transfer to Suzhou by bus and transfer to the hotel. Suzhou is China’s well-known “city of gardens” known as “Heaven on Earth”. You may feel the charm of mountains, forest and spring without going out of the noisy surroundings of the town. We will visit the Humble Administrator’s Garden today, which is the top representative garden of Suzhou.

Day 9 Suzhou (2N)

Mar. 23 Highlight (Sunday)

Silk weaving workshop, “Suzhou Pingtan” (Optional)

Activities

In the weaving workshop, the magnificent silk embroidery enable visitors to understand the history of silk and its production. Suzhou Pingtan is a traditional form of artistic story-telling with musical accompaniment (by the artists). In the afternoon, you will have an opportunity to enjoy this traditional Chinese music in Shan Tang Shu Yuan. (Optional)

Day 10 Suzhou – Hangzhou (1N)

Mar. 24 Highlight (Monday)

South China Countryside Views, Hupao (Tiger Running) Spring,

Activities

Transfer to Hangzhou by bus and transfer to the hotel. Enjoy beautiful South China countryside views on the way. Hupao (Tiger Running) Spring is well-known for its unique fountain. People of all ages highly praise it after tasting a cup of Longjing Tea made of the water from Hupao fountain. Visit the Hupao (Tiger Running) Spring followed by a tea ceremony in a tea farm of Longjing Village.

Oriental Pearl’s Tower, Yuyuan Garden , Chenghuangmiao Market, Huangpu River Dinner Cruise (Optional)

Activities

Visit the famous “ Oriental Pearl Tower” by going up the top of the tower and enjoy a bird-eye view of Shanghai followed by a visit to the Yuyuan Garden and one of the most popular local markets – Chenghuangmiao. Huangpu River Dinner Cruise is an option for you in the evening. (Optional)
