Activities

Depart for Beijing via scheduled international airlines. Touchdown in Beijing. A chartered bus will take you to the hotel. Leisure time will follow registration.

Day 3 (JUL.20) Beijing

Highlight

Olympic Games Sites, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Kung Fu Show (optional)

Activities

Enjoy full buffet breakfast in the hotel and have a relaxing morning. To start the day followed by visit to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games sites. A guided visit Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City where the last three dynasties of China ruled. In the evening, enjoy a night city tour or an optional dramatic Chinese Kung Fu show.

Day 4 (JUL 21) Beijing

Highlight

Jade Factory, The Great Wall of China, Beijing Roast Duck Dinner

Activities

Begin the day with a visit to the biggest jade factory after breakfast. Visit the Great Wall of China and enjoy your leisure time exploring one of the great wonders of the world in the afternoon! A feast of Beijing Roast Duck Dinner will be arranged in the evening.

Day 5 (JUL22) Beijing

Highlight

School Visit, Calligraphy Lessons

Activities

Visit a well-known public school. During the visit, you will exchange teaching skills and discuss several topics. You will also have the opportunity to learn the Chinese calligraphy.

Day 6 (JUL23) Beijing

Highlight

Visit the capital Museum of China, Summer Palace, Acrobatic show (Optional)

Activities

Visit the Capital Museum of China in the morning followed by visit to Pearl Farm. After lunch, visit the well-know Summer Palace, the most celebrated imperial garden in China consists of longevity Hill and the Kunming Lake and covers an expanse of 2.9 square kilometres. Free time or an optional of acrobatic show will follow dinner.

Day 7 (JUL24) Beijing

Highlight

Tai Chi Lesson, Tea Ceremony, Rickshaw Hutong tour, Lunch in a Local Family

Activities

Learn traditional Tai Chi to start the day in the beautiful hotel garden to gain some Yin and Yang energy under the instruction of Tai Chi masters followed by a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony. Enjoy an exciting rickshaw tour of Hutong, an important cultural element of the ancient Beijing city. As part of the tour, enjoy homemade lunch in a local family. Free time for you to walk around and shop in the afternoon.

Temple of Heaven, Lama (Yonghe) Temple.

Activities

Begin the day with a visit to the Temple of Heaven, also known as the Altar Heaven constructed over 600 years. Later on, visit the Lama Temple, which is one of the largest and most important Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in the world.

Day 9 (JUL.26) Beijing

Activities

This will be a great day for you to do some interesting things on your own. There are many places ready for you to explore, such as the National Art Museum of China, and shopping markets where you can get additional souvenirs.

Day 10 (JUL.27) Beijing – Xi’an

Highlight

Depart for Xi’an, Guided City Bus Tour, Ancient City Wall, Tang Dynasty Music and Dance show (optional)

Activities

Depart for Xi’an by a domestic flight from Beijing International Airport. Xi’an is one of the oldest cities in Chinese history. Upon arrival, a chartered bus will take you to the hotel and check-in followed by a guided bus tour of this city and a visit to the Ancient City Wall. Additional free time or an optional of Tang Dynasty Music & Dancing Show in the evening will surely add more beautiful memories to your visit of Xi’an.

Day 11 (JUL.28) Xi’an

Highlight

Site of Terra- Cotta Warriors, Silk Factory, Shanxi Provincial Museum

Activities

Begin the day with a visit to the Site of Terra- Cotta Warriors, which acclaimed as the Eighth Wonder of the world’s that will amaze every tourist who sees it. Pay a visit to a traditional silk factory. In the afternoon, a guided city tour of Xi’an and visit to the Shanxi Provincial Museum.

Day 12 (JUL.29) Xi’an

Highlight

Antique Furniture Store, Xi’an Muslim Street.

Activities

Visit one of most famous antique furniture store in China will definitely offer you a great opportunity to understand Chinese history and culture. You will also visit the Xi’an Muslim Street, which is a fantastic place to wonder. Additional free time will be arranged for you to explore this ancient capital city.

Day 13 (JUL.30) Xi’an – Chongqing

Highlight

Depart from Xi’an to Chongqing

Day 14 (JUL.31) Chongqing – On board of Cruise ship

Highlight

On Board Day 1: General Stilwell Museum , C hongqing China Three Gorges Museum

Activities

Pick you up in the morning from the hotel. Take you to Dazu to have a look at Dazu Rock Carving in Baodingshan. You will see the famous stone carvings of Buddha there.
After having lunch go to the Eling Park, a good scenic location, ascend to the highest place of Chongqing, have a bird eye view of the city. Later, go to the city center, see the symbolic architecture--People's Hall of Chongqing, it was completed in 1954 to memorize China's resistance war and establishment of new government, one of the top 10 classic architectures in 20th century Asia. Your last stop of the tour is Chongqing Stilwell Museum--Flying Tiger Memorial. A chartered bus will take you to the cruise ship.

Day 15 (AUG 01) Chongqing Yangzi River Cruise

Highlight

On Board Day 2: Fengdu, Mount Mishan, Grand Captain’s Welcome Party

Activities

We make our first stop in the “ Ghost City” of Fengdu. Here on Mount Mishan we encounter a truly mysterious world of myth and legend. Huge figures – up to 8 meters ( 25ft) tall – appear to look right through us. This evening we have the grand Captain’s Welcome Party, including a lively show presented by the ship’s crew.

Day 16 (AUG 02) Yangzi River Cruise

Highlight

On Board Day 3: The Three Lesser Gorges / The Three Gorges

Activities

After passing through the Qutang Gorge and the Wu Gorge, the most impressive of the three gorges and also known as the „Witches’ Gorge“, we join small boats to explore the Three Lesser Gorges. We travel through shallow waters past historic townships and attractive villages, which modern China appears almost to have forgotten. Eventually we arrive at the Three Gorges Dam, the world’s largest dam, and descend through the five-stage lock to the foot of the dam. On board the Captain invites us to the Farewell Dinner.

Day 17 (AUG. 03) River Cruise to Yichang

Highlight

On Board Day 4: The Three Gorges Dam / Yichang

Activities

This morning we have the chance to inspect the Three Gorges Dam. It is 185 meters ( 570 ft) high and 2.3 kilometres (1.5 miles) long. The process of filling the 600 kilometre (400 miles) long reservoir was started on 20th May 2006. To achieve this over one million people from 13 townships and 1500 villages had to be re-settled. 26 gigantic turbines have an annual output of 18 million KW/h – the equivalent of several nuclear power plants. After this visit our cruise continues through the Xiling Gorge to Yichang, where we disembark. We’ll have a lunch at the Yichang city and visit Yichang Museum after lunch .

Day 18 (AUG 04) Yichang- Shanghai

Highlight

Depart for Shanghai via Scheduled Domestic Flight, Guided City Tour.

Depart for Shanghai in the morning. You will arrive in Shanghai in the afternoon. A chartered bus will take you to the hotel and check in.

Day 19 (AUG 05) Shanghai

The Bund, Chenghuangmiao Market, River Cruise Dinner ( Optional )

Activities

Visit the Bund, which stretches one mile along the bank of Huangpu River and is featured with varies architectural style such as Gothic and Renaissance. Later, visit one of the most popular local market-Chenghuangmiao Market.And free time will be arranged in the afternoon. Enjoy the magnificent night view of the Bund and Pudong Area on the dinner cruise in the evening (optional)
